SA cruiserweight champion Kevin Lerena has fourteen wins but ten of those wins were by knockout. This week on Top Billing Jonathan steps into the ring to learn a few tips from the champ.
It’s hard to believe anyone could once have bullied this ninety kilogram WBC Youth World and SA Champion but he was a smaller guy at school and taking up boxing evened the odds. He turned pro at 18 and hasn’t looked back. Kevin often visits schools, giving motivational talks on what boxing has taught him. He trains with Sean Smith, the son of an SA champion. Sean was an unbeaten amateur until injury ended his career.
