Theo Ngobeni of Mr. Slimfit chats all things style with Top Billing 

As a schoolboy, Theo Ngobeni’s mother told him he had expensive tastes and would have to work hard for the life he wanted. A career in banking seemed to be it until, aged thirty, he resigned to start an image consultancy and produce his own amazing designs.

Finding skilled tailors to execute his designs, Theo creates superb garments with no formal fashion qualifications other than those he taught himself.

Business quickly took off so he set up his Mr. Slimfit studio and found clients willing to travel from far for his services. For high end clients, the business recently added a three hundred and sixty degree solution including personal shopping and wardrobe makeovers too.

With his Honours Degree in Finance and Investment, he’s now growing into several, new fields, including the world of women’s clothing.

Theo started making garments for his wife and following a boom in interest he will soon offer custom made ladies’ heels.

Passing what he’s learned onto others, you’ll often find the man mentoring aspiring business owners or teaching Sunday School. Where the first thing he’ll do is credit his success to God and to his wife, banker Thembi Ngobeni with whom he shares 2 year old Akani.

This self-made man is building an empire, and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
