As the dynamo who brings us Presenter Search on 3 each week, Pabi Moloi loves to witness opportunity come knocking for young, undiscovered talent.
As well as bringing her unique brand of energy to Presenter Search on 3, Ms. Moloi is a SAFTA winning talk show host of late night TV and presents a radio show, weekend mornings from 6am. How she keeps each role so engaging and different is a thing of wonder.
This boldness and self-belief to step under the lights and shine is one which Pabi’s mother, Nana Moloi encouraged in her child. Well known for her role in the 1970’s musical Ipi Ntombi, Nana and her daughter first appeared on TV together in a margarine commercial. The performance bug had bitten.
In turn, Pabi is proving quite a mentor to her 16 year old brother Khabane Moloi. Balancing his personal interests in the field of animation and basketball with a broader social awareness, he is well and truly woke.
Presenter Search on 3 has spring-boarded so many fine careers from that of Simba Mhere to Expresso’s Zoë Brown and Afternoon Express’ Danilo Acquits and Pabi can’t wait to see a new name join their ranks.
