Having met as students at the University of Pretoria, Deon and Jenny van der Watt found success in financial management and developing residential properties. They love to build and make instead of simply buying, and their home is testament to that.
When walking through the home the décor is about layered textures and colours. A rough carpet on the floor lends intimacy and marks out the seating area in a large open space.
Using the same finishes throughout, links the spaces and creates a flow. It makes the house seem larger because there are no fragmented spaces.
Outside or in, the fittings, wood and the clean lines are a lesson in the elegance of simplicity. Jenny described her vision and her team of artisans did wonders.
