Top Billing features a special birthday celebration for Carolyn Steyn
Carolyn Steyn toasts her birthday with a Guinness World Record and three film awards and you are invited to share in the festivities!
For Carolyn Steyn it’s been a year in which her 67 blankets for Nelson Mandela initiative has warmed more lives, she’s produced an award winning film and earned herself a little celebration.
Palazzo Steyn may be where Carolyn lives but a great deal of her time is spent travelling to schools, informal settlements and correctional facilities, getting tens of thousands of wool blankets made for those in need. It has come to define her in the minds of friends and colleagues and inspire many others to join her.
Carolyn moved people as far afield as the U.K, United States and India to knit and send blankets – along with many South Africans, like actress Zethu Dlomo.
One of the toasts was to three Guinness World Records as well as the largest portrait blanket in the world depicting the face of our beloved Nelson Mandela.
Former Top Billing presenter Tumisho Masha was a guest and gives Carolyn much credit for the 3 awards that the film Mandela’s Gun recently won in New York.
Moving creatives, politicians, every day people and friends to get involved, help those in need and to have fun while doing it! Mrs Steyn is an inspiration.
A purpose driven life clearly agrees with Carolyn! Here’s to another Guinness World Record setting year!
