Top Billing brings you the highlights from Design Joburg
This year Design Joburg featuring Rooms On View, was all about collaboration as architects, designers and brands were challenged to bring their skills together in combined exhibits which allowed visitors to immerse themselves in a total, layered look for each room providing inspirations they could take home.
This year Design Joburg featuring Rooms On View aimed to highlight the best in the industry paired with the new innovators and emerging talent of South Africa to create a truly inspiring experience for their viewers who ranged from high end consumers as well as architects, designers, developers, as well as multinational companies looking to source directly for their latest projects.
One of the displays on show was by Donald Nxumalo, a previous winner of the reality show Win a Home and a well known face on Top Billing. Donald challenged his more masculine edge to have a softer feel by experimenting with colour and the result was spectacular.
Kelly Adami, director of Copperleaf studio, showcased a dinner party theme with dramatic use of colour and varied textures.
Design Joburg proved it is the premier design event showcasing the leaders in decor and design in South Africa with never before seen collaborative exhibits, uniquely curated installations and features and serious international flair.
