For soapie star and recording artist Anga Makubalo, the gift of talent is matched by driving ambition and a competitive spirit. Even in the most idyllic, holiday setting, the man is proving a fierce competitor on Tropika Island of Treasure – Seychelles.
After two studio albums, a breakthrough role on Generations and two more tv dramas, Anga is an entertainment industry on his own. Having Anga as a contestant on this season of Tropika Island of Treasure, he was a natural choice to record a theme song.
With viewers’ competition details on every bottle of Tropika, those who enter stand a chance of winning daily and weekly prizes and a grand prize of a Kia Sportage.
We joined Anga at a party for the charity CHOC - The Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa. Their motto is ‘’keeping more than hope alive’ and to Tropika’s Miantha Padayachee, that’s what their theme song is for.
As competition for that million Rand treasure heats up, Anga will be hoping that beach cricket features prominently in the remaining games.
