On screen, she is Maya Avant, the supermodel who captured the heart of Rick Forrester. In person, Karla Mosley is sheer magnetism.
Karla is a published poet, she has sung in a band and now that she has dazzled in Gert’s showstopper air at SA Fashion Week, she’s a supermodel for real.
There was a charge in the air as Jozi’s A-list gathered in anticipation of Gert’s eighties inspired, Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.
And guests were definitely not disappointed as the embellished shoulder pads, eye-catching detail and unexpected construction were quite a visual feast.
For all his success, at school, Gert struggled with reading due to dyslexia. So, for this show he and Shine Literacy teamed up to help get children reading.
The celebrity guests brought a small library of books and, like Mrs. Norma Gigaba, some brought show-stopping eveningwear.
Summer is here but it’s exciting to know we have such style in store when Autumn comes round again. While Karla has found an entire collection of reasons to make her return.
