Brendan Peyper rocks as Buddy Holly
The only way is up for Tropika Island of Treasure winner Brendan Peyper who steps into the role of Buddy Holly like he was born to it. For recording artist Brendan Peyper, 2018 is proving some kinda year. Straight off his win in Tropika Island of Treasure, he’s landed the lead in the ever popular musical The Buddy Holly Story and already making the role his own.

When Brendan Peyper and Lisanne Lazarus of Team Red won Tropika Island of Treasure Maldives, each said they’d invest ‘their’ share in property – which Brendan went on to do. He recently bought himself land outside Pretoria where he already looks to be building a herd of game.

Buddy Holly was a seasoned performer at the age of sixteen and in Brendan’s own career, producer Frans Swart sees many parallels. For an idea of why he’s so good in this role, we asked him to play an unplugged set.

The waves of Brendan fans in the theatre only make the whole Buddy Holly hysteria feel that much more real.
This is the final week of Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story which runs until the 10th June 2018 at Emperors Palace so make sure you don’t miss Brendan’s outstanding performance!
