Refilwe Modiselle began modelling, eighteen years ago after being styled by Shaldon Kopman. Since then Shaldon’s become the much sought after designer behind the brand Naked Ape and Refilwe’s now a talk show presenter, actress and leading advocate of loving the skin you’re in.
Shaldon and Refilwe’s work has been a unifying force and helped greatly in ridding the fashion world of any stigma involved with albinism.

Before what she calls her ‘celebrity status’, Ms. Modisele was an advertising graduate at 19 and working her way up the corporate ladder like everybody else. From junior to senior manager in marketing, she got into television, as a production manager and started taking roles on camera. She’s honoured internationally as a CNN African Game Changer and makes the most of her position to change thinking.

Her natural star quality saw Refilwe cast in the U.S. tv series Of Kings & Prophets and it’s her charisma that the camera loves just as much as her look.
