When she isn’t in New York being recognized as a “Rising Star” in Business Diversity, the other big story of Mrs. Ballensiefen’s life has been her wedding and the dresses she wore.
The dress draws inspiration from Spain, one of Ayanda and her husband Ben’s favourite destinations.
Following a Catholic ceremony held in and around a castle outside Berlin, the bride changed looks for the party to come.

As significant to the couple as the ceremony in Germany, was their traditional wedding held in their hometown. Where Vuyokazi Bodlani created this celebration of Xhosa design.
At the home of the bride’s parents, we found friends and family still buzzing with excitement, what a match the couple make. It was Ben’s work in telecoms and data science which brought him to South Africa - and then Cupid struck.
