We trace the rise of Eastern Cape property dynamo Xoliswa Daku from Uitenhage to re-shaping the city skyline.
After twenty years in law and property, Xoliswa Daku is a CEO who her staff and colleagues would follow anywhere
Behind the stylish, power dresser is a woman raised in the town of Uitenhague, who learned her work ethic from her grandmother. Having spent half her life breaking new ground on building sites, she is also comfortable outdoors and roughing it.
This is a CEO who has managed to get others as excited about taking bare ground and turning it into buildings, sustainable jobs and growth. Xoliswa wants others to follow her path and passion and so, she started an empowerment programme training a hundred women in property and construction.
Xoliswa is currently developing a hotel with shops and restaurants in the Eastern Cape with architect Toni Whitfield. As if she didn’t have enough on her plate, raising the children and running four offices nationwide, Xoliswa is soon to set up a Girl Power Leadership Academy, to mentor more young women like her.
