The World Rallycross Championship is coming to town
Join us this Thursday on Top Billing as we go zero to a hundred in under two seconds with multiple World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg.
The World Rallycross Championship is coming to town and after a spin with two-time World Champion Petter ‘Hollywood’ Solberg the excitement is real.
Rallycross is racing held on a closed, mixed-surface circuit, where the cars are built based on everyday production models, extensively modified for speed, handling and safety. Petter is the first World Champion in both Rallycross and traditional Rally, he’s known as ‘Hollywood’ for his crowd-pleasing antics and that suited Jonathan just fine.
Each round of the championship involves four qualifying heats, two semi-finals, and a thrilling six-car final over six laps. Unlike Rally, Formula One or endurance racing where fans can only view a section of the track, here they can see every corner, straight, rise, dip and transition from tar to mud or gravel.
The full, live drama of all six cars competing for the lead can be watched from start to finish as if in a stadium.
